When it comes to the government-citizen relationship, there's often a disconnect between the voices and desires of residents and the actions taking place on a municipal level. But there are steps both citizens and governments can take to help bridge this gap and to create a stronger government-citizen relationship.

"Citizens have to take responsibility for understanding the things that their governments are doing, but at the same time, it's the responsibility of government to meet them halfway," Undercoffer explains.

On this episode of the Parksify Podcast, Undercoffer discusses methods that can be used to help heal the divide between residents and officials.
